If you need us for any reason, we urge you to reach us: 616-929-5574, or Dan@TheConsciousChurch.org. In the meantime here’s a list of questions we are frequently asked, with some helpful answers.

You do not need to become a member of The Conscious Church to attend meetings. Our membership meetings are posted on our website and on Meetup and are open for all to attend.

Meetings and events at TCC are open to all regardless of current faith or religious affiliation, or lack thereof.

Yes. You may become an active participant in TCC while remaining a member of another church, however, to become a member of TCC does require that any prior church affiliation be rescinded at the time you become a TCC member.

Meetup is a meeting notification system. Joining the TCC Meetup group allows you receive automated notifications about functions and activities at TCC. Membership in a TCC affiliate is through a separate application process. If you would like to investigate membership in TCC please see the membership page of this website.

See the membership page for details on membership.

Involvement can range from attending meetings and events to giving presentations on topics where you have specific knowledge, to running and hosting events, to volunteering at a Conscious Resale Store, to teaching classes. At TCC we value the unique qualities of every individual. There are endless ways for you to be involved. The Get Involved section of our website provides information on some of the current opportunities.

Monetary donations can be made online. Checks can be mailed to any Conscious Affiliate. Donations of personal property items such as clothing and furniture can be made at any Conscious Resale location. To make gifts through estate planning please contact The Mission Auxiliary of The Conscious Church.

Suggestions can be made on the Meetup App, can be made in person at any meeting or event, or sent via email to dan@theconsciouschurch.org.

You can support TCC by volunteering at a Conscious Resale location, attending and participating in events, running projects, chairing and organizing events, being a greeter at events, being an ambassador, serving on committees, and by helping others to grow as only you are able to do.

The organizational structure of TCC allows for TCC to support other like-minded organizations. These decisions are made by the Executive Committee. Currently TCC is a small organization and has limited resources to financially support other organizations. We encourage our members to support other like-minded non-profit, not-for-profit and ecclesiastical organizations that seek to reconcile the world in a rational basis, that support the separation of church and state, and that support and encourage free-thought and humanist ideals.

Memorials, weddings and other celebrations are an integral and valued part of TCC. Talk to the Curate at your local Conscious Church to explore options.

Supporting individuals within our communities is the essence of what The Conscious Church is all about. While we currently do not offer housing assistance, The Mission Auxiliary, through Conscious Resale, is working toward offering job training and transitional employment opportunities. As our membership grows, we will be able to offer additional services to individuals that we are not currently able to offer.

The Curate at your local Conscious affiliate is available for some types of consultation. Please contact your Curate directly to discuss your particular needs. Referrals can also be made to outside service providers when necessary.

Children are welcome at almost all meetings and events and child care is offered as staff are available. Refer to the meeting details. If child care is not indicated please contact the meeting organizer directly to express your needs.

Although we do not believe in a supernatural, personal God, we believe that we are all part of what is (the creation) and therefore it is incumbent on each of us to act in the best interest of all of humanity. We come together in TCC to help each other to grow and to become the best that we can be. The faith component of traditional churches is only one aspect that makes the traditional church community valuable to its members. We are formed to offer fulfillment to the remaining needs that historical churches have for centuries provided to their communities.
