Richard Dawkins was born a British citizen on March 26 1941 in Nairobi, Colony and Protectorate of Kenya. He is a scientist, author and public intellectual who has made significant contributions to science and to the public understanding of science. He is perhaps better known for his views on religion than for his other achievements.
